Blepharoplasty

Before after Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty, or an eyelid lift, is a surgical procedure that can either be done solely as a cosmetic procedure or to correct functional problems with your eyelids. This surgery is normally done for cosmetic reasons but is also an effective way to improve sight in older people have sagging upper eyelids in the way of their vision. An eyelid lift is often done with other procedures such as a brow lift or facelift to improve crow’s feet and facial sagging. The main medical reason for having an eyelid surgery is ptosis, a condition causing the eyelids to hang very low blocking vision.

There are two types of blepharoplasty: Upper eyelid blepharoplasty and Lower Eyelid blepharoplasty. The upper lid blepharoplasty removes excess skin, fat and/or muscle from the upper lid. The goal of a lower lid blepharoplasty is to remove excess bags and sometimes trip some skin at the lash line to tighten the under eye skin.

What our Patients Say

‍A few years ago, I decided to have laser eye surgery to correct my lifelong problem with nearsightedness.  Before that I always wore glasses or contacts.  I remember having frequent problems with contacts which would lead to problems with sunglasses or diving masks and the like.  when I chose to have eye surgery, I decided to go with Dr. Narvaez.  As a surgeon myself, I knew of his reputation and we had some patients in common and I was always impressed by his work.  Therefore, the choice was clear to me even though I knew many other Doctors who could do the procedure. After the procedure, I had excellent vision.  I love my new vision and enjoy being glasses and contacts free.  Dr. Narvaez is an excellent surgeon and I highly recommend him.
